Force Of Fate

From the time of your inception
Life lies in twirls like spaghetti on your plate
Future choices seasoning the top like thyme flakes
Some chances lead to joy others lead to pain
Some you make with fierce determination
Others are pressed upon you against your will
Still more happen around you with you being caught
Fate will iterate paths time and time again
You can’t monkey with fate for it chooses your path
Fighting destiny only to find that fate spanks you every time
In the end we are only a collection of our choices
Our destiny to tally our mistakes
And count our successes
only to try and make sense of it all
Before the curtain calls and fate brings your union with death
For fate gave you this very life
Fate will also decide when it ends

This is excellently done given that you wrote this impromptu. Your talents (to think fast+to think well) are overwhelming. But I was determined to view your work just as any other this time.

I'm in agreement with the logic of the write. Fate is so transcendental. There are times when one does all the hard works, take all the right steps and still end up failing! On the other hand he way succeed (though chances are minimal) without much effort.

We are often enslaved
by the mystery
called destiny.

I do feel though that the word "fate" has been over used in the poem, won't you agree? But then I have the luxury of reading it in leisure which you never had while authoring.

Your presence is important to your community.

Come back soon.. :)

Respectfully,
Amartya

Deliberate

For this poem I over emphasised the word fate on purpose, in the title and four or five times in the poem.  It would have been easy to use another word for it like destiny, karma but the intent was deliberate.  You should check out the Twitter Poem I just published today on http://www.wandererthoughts.com
