The Simple Life
Ban this technology for a simpler life
A life spent against the frigid earth
Time spent tending a herd of sheep grazing
And hearing the occasional borborygmous
Amish have chosen this life of peace
Closer to nature is closer to god
Some would find this way too rough
Too much chaos and too much work
In a conclave the people come together
Celebrating their way of life
Over scrumptious food barely seasoned
Fresher than any ever had before
Speech temporarily arrested for silent prayers
Thankful for all the earth provides
The toils of the people who bring this to us
Harmony achieved within this community
The view of the sky would leave you breathless
No light from the earth to drown out the stars
You feel a part of this universe on which you impact
While eating under the stars of a watchful galaxy
You cannot help but think about the simple life
Where a cubicle and and office phone do not exist
You build your own life with your own hands
Community has a truer meaning

Hi
You almost tempted me to go on a vacation there....
I love to live in a place, close to nature, green grass all around.. blue lagoons etc....
But at the same time i would also wanna have the convienience that our suburban life offers... Transportation, electricity, computer etc...
A mix of the two would have been great
I agree
I telecommute and work from my home, so you could transport my house in the woods and as long as I had power and Internet I would be fine. It would be nice to smell the pine trees all day long, but the winters would be cold and brutal.
