In The Stream Of Life....

 

I was traveling

In the stream of life

All along, happy and gay

And suddenly the strong winds of tribulation began to blow..

 

I began to sink

In the vast waters of life

For a moment I thought

I am dead!!

 

In my desperation, I cried out

Oh God!! why have you forsaken me?

Then a soothing voice called

My Dear Child, give me your hand

 

I held up my head

I could see the comforting look

And feel the strong hands,

lifting me,

Out of the troubled

Waters Of Life!!!

god does just the same work more than anything

he gives us the hope that there is someone who cares for me.....

It brings to mind that we all face troubling times indeed seeking for a greater power to relieve us of our vast tribulations. Good use of imagery here. Nice to see a steady storyline. Simple yet very effective in conveying the message. In the instance in which you thought "I am dead" and then later realized that you were still very much alive makes this piece very captivating. Five out of Five. An excellent piece. Please write more.

a good write but i cant get the rhythm. no rhymes,   well its tough to write poems without rhymes thats good but one should be in a flow of words

this touched me, Reema.  Very good poem!  I wish I was inspired to write about the good in life, but i am not, so I enjoy very much when I see others grasp it so completely as you do and convey it so beutifully.  Simplicy in writing is a greater scope of the whole thought in my opinion.  For all, even the layman, can see and understand truthes that are so pure as the one you write about.  It is universal, my dear.  Truly inspiring!  :)
