Cause the Bible Tells Me So (Part 1)
Deuteronomy 7:1-36
There’s a tale of an Abrahamic Lord God who destroyed
The Hethite, the Amorrite and the Chanaanite:
Seven nations more numerous than the Israelite.
With slaying and lack of mercy his followers he buoyed.
I Samuel 15:3
The same Jewish deity commanded the Amalec to smite
To utterly destroy all that he hath and spare him not;
Coveting nothing but slaying man, woman and tiny tot.
Include the ox and sheep, camel and ass, a total blight.
Numbers 31:1-35,
Moses relayed the will for revenge of this Lord
Israel must target the Madianites. Slay all males,
And women who’ve had sex. Save the virgins, key details.
And with over thirty thousand, keep your private whore horde.
Numbers 33:50-52
It came as no surprise as
Without their cruel deity these Semites were lost.

:)
Nature created man
as one for all
Mortal created religion
to divide us all
Why can the whole world
not be a single mass?
One big community,
no fight no fuss!
Respectfully,
Amartya
Amartya, my brother
Religions, which are supposedly organized for the good of mankind, divide us the most and cause endless pain and anguish.
Genetically we are all one. By faith, we are multiple groups at each others throats.
:)
I completely agree with you...
but..
if we are made of the same materials and design then how can the creator be different? funny is it not? I wonder why they never thought this.. LOL
Religion is often used for political reasons and I'm not talking about just the men of politics men of religions are just as political. :)
Once again...
The poet's style impresses me. I love the scripture references at the beginning of each stanza... BRILLIANT. I honestly can't think of a single critique of the use of language and style here. The poem is extremely "classy" in its argument.
Thanks again, I feel better for having read that.
Dude
You are really blowing up my ego. Thanks, friend.
So let's see your next challenge in your writing. Don't get lazy.
To Auroliom
Your poem has thrown some light on the fact that God is not always loving and merciful. He is a God, whose wrath and ire has burnt down nations too. Your poem speaks of the other side of the coin-a wrathful God who destroyed mankind with a purpose behind. The Lord watches over the ways of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
