Climbing, struggling I keep trudging on...
The journey before me seems ever so long
Trudging, panting I continue to tread...
My thought ringing so loud in my crowded head.....

The Mountain looms so large before me....
It's Apex...I still quite can't see....
Still....patiently I trudge on.....
Singing my "mantra' my personal song

One step, two steps here I go.....
Soon my steps start to flow...
The climb is hard...that I give you
Difficult, laborious and tedious too

But without the struggle..would I trully know.......
The sense of freedom, successes finest glow
I rest upon the Apex...the peak
Too astounded yet to speak....

Stretched out before me I can see.......
The descent...life's 'easy'.....
I appreciate the ease of Mountains' descent & decline
For within the struggle..the inherent climb I simply 'FIND'

the truth...the meaning...my purpose & healing
