DARK CLOUD AND SILVER LINING

DARK CLOUD AND SILVER LINING

Optimist and Pessimist

Romantic and Realist

Humanity is divided;

Rarely a synthesis is provided.

Four frogs fell into a milk jug

They swam and jumped with no avail

They sank and joined the death – trail

Except one, who did not give up!

He went on swimming till the milk became cream

He used the cream to jump out with a joyous scream

Why 7 out of 10 give up?

And only 3 go on and come up!

This is true of any animal including man

In life or Insurance sale, few believe that they always can

But pessimism is not genetic or permanent

It is conditioned by negative experience, a despairing sentiment.

Consequent belief appears to have a sanctity

Style of interpretation, which blinds our objectivity

Pessimism kills our dream

Makes us eat the sour cream!

In the guise of being a realist

He misses the presence of the moonbeam,

Yet there is a hope for the pessimist

Of changing explanatory style, he may yet redeem

We can relearn optimist or even pessimist style

With optimism you can go and extra mile.

But pessimism can be some times useful

In a project he can make points which are fruitful!

Fault – finding in the goal and strategy

“The missing screw” and crack in a precious tool.

An invaluable rule

To be accurate, not hazy!

Actually the two styles complement

A visionary has to be also a realist

So his dream can materialize and exist

And a great leader has to be a pessimist 20 percent!
