I sit and watch as rain drops collect on my window,
Like tears collect on my cheek.
I want to scream, but I can’t even speak.
One look from you and I can’t breathe.
It’s as if you grabbed my heart and squeezed.
I hang on your every word.
Hoping you’ll confess your love…
But, that’s just absurd.
You’re always there,
In the back of my mind.
Will there ever come a time
Where you’ll realize
We could be great?
Or, will I forever be frozen
In this state
Of indefinite wait?
