Pure white I cannot fathom
the multihues you hide within yourself

On a baby swathed in white
you take on the colour of innocence and joy</p>

On a pious man
you are coloured with selflessness

On a doctor you take on the colour
of efficiency,confidence and dedication

On a nurse
You are service in person

A widow's clothes tint you with
sadness and helplessness

A postmortemed body in white
wringes pain in the heart

Who are the real YOU
HE saw seven colours
But I see many many more

Great way of putting the different shades white brings to our lives...

The other day i was just wondering tht a bride dresses in her white gown (purity) & a widow also does the same (blankness to life)... irony of lif..

well put....and once more its a nice thought....Looking forward to reading more of your poems.

Secondly, you have created a beautiful piece of art through this poem... "The colors of white", Pure White...
White is the most important color visible to man. It is formed by constructive interference of the waves of seven "Visible" colors. It represents unity in diversity, very India like...

Very nice thought indeed....

"A postmortemed body in white
wringes pain in the heart"

.... Poets always need a point to debate on, don't they! I found one... I think it may represent pain in the heart for the kin of the deceased but in reality imagine the amount of pain the person is relived of...

That does not mean I have anything against the stanza. I liked the logic behind the entire write... It's just a thought...
