Imagining...

and me with my eclectic ideals...

 Imagining understanding

 gives me a headache,

 so I write to alleviate,

 it relaxes my mind...

and I become the rain pounding the roof.

The beep beep of the clock

and I am time without any...

 the cold distance between planets

and I am frozen to the marrow...

I feel the pebbles through the tires

 and mingle with the road...

 but I'm home,

 nursing my head.

Welcome to PoemsNProse.com ....

Imagining can sometimes be an exhaustive exercise for the brain.... But we care poets... Can't help it, can we?

It is because of the imaginations of poets and philosophers that the world is what it is - for the better or for worse. We are jester to many yet leader to all... an eccentric profession, is it not?

To be able to write to alleviate is a precious gift because in the process the poet not only relaxes his mind but also those of his readers. This write was a unwinding write just like you wanted it to be...

Respectfully,
Amartya

Brilliant, you told the story of the princess and the pea in two lines! Seriously Awesome. I enjoyed the subtle imagery, it blended together so abstractly that I'm still re-reading just in case I missed any underlying connections. Welcome friend, show me more!
