Secret Rooms
In my room below the house
no visitors were allowed
no reason to let one in
no need to share...
not then.
When I'm there the clock is gone
I am the singer of my songs
my senses run on high
no-one to tell me lies
A place of magical settings
anything that I might need
nothing there will ever hurt me
I have the only key
Can you come in... maybe,
will you be good to me
my only thing to share
my place that isn't there

This poem reminds me
THis poem reminds me of a Weezer Song, "In the Garage", same type of imagery. A safe sanctuary, your "fortress of solitude".

on my computer... will have to see if I can find the one you are referring to... I love music !!!!
Played the drums as a young man...

Lost...
Richard,
Lost in thoughts
always I be
such lovely places
live grandma's house
when I see.
The aging trees
The shaggy garden
The dilapidated structure
Those torn curtains.
An empty house
filled
with irreplaceable
memories.
Respectfully,
Amartya
