As I sit back to count my gains
All I could recall are the days in vain</p>
The pendulum moves to and fro
Exactly the way my life grows
It has seen the ups and the downs
It has seen the celebrations and the mourns
I wander is there any limit to it
Life moves on, full stop does not fit.
Jokes I laughed at, things I cried for
Mistakes I made, decisions which were not fair
Days when love was in the air
Days with broken heart and no one to share
Love and lust, rise and fall
I have seen it; I have been through it all
Times when people cared
Times when everybody wanted to share
Times when I was left all alone
Times when I longed for a hand but all were gone
New veins that I have rooted inside
Old things that I have left far behind
Desires, hopes, hatred, sufferings have no end
Am I a slave to them? Why they make me bend?
Now I wander is there any limit to it
Do I have to move on, without any rest?
Is it right to erode oneself,
Is it right to live without any shell!

Hi
Your poems as usual are thoughtprovoking...
I specially like these lines ...
"Desires, hopes, hatred, sufferings have no end
Am I a slave to them? Why they make me bend?"
Thanks for a Good One,
Priya

not sure about others but i found this neo classy... You raised some very important questions about life. Should we forget the past or mourn over it and thus influence our future? should we forgive ourselves for the sin and ill we did in the past? and so in...
Life is simple (mostly). We all commit mistakes, take lessons from them and want to forget the painful parts. It's taught but that's how life goes...
We regret the ill we did not to feel bad about (though that's the hard part) but to ensure that the mistakes are not repeated. Mostly, when time is bad people abandon you. May be we react in a repulsive manner. Who knows?
I think you wrote it very honestly...
Just a suggestion:
Wander = walk

wow!!!
it seems as if you have summed up whole life in just 4 paragraphs........
very well articulated.......
