On a sultry afternoon when the breeze blows my hair..
as i see the people around me moving everywhere
i think back at all i ve lost and all i ve gained
all the clear moments and some memories stained...
of all the hurts,disagreements and fights
and all the patch ups,sorries and cuddly nights
of the carefree attitude and the experiences wild..
the advice of the elders,the smile of a child...
of all the funny times and silly bets
big mistakes and bigger regrets
of all the longing and magic of that first love
standing together under the rain from above
the nervousness and excitement before a date
bringing down the stars for that perfect soulmate
of the disappointments and hurts..the pieces of the heart
the pain of moving on...making a new start
of all the tears and laughs through joys n trouble
the battle wid life...the never ending struggle
of the desires and fantasies which could never be coped
those wishes and prayers....miracles never hoped...
of the fears and failures...flowers with thorns..
thinking of yesterday..listening to sad songs...
of the turns of fate...twists and bends..
leaning on a shoulder...the silence between friends..
of the walks on the beach...under the glittering stars
the dreams to accomplish..the goals still far...
of making a name..standing on your feet..
the valuable penny for the beggar on the street..
of achieving success and shouting out loud..
the feeling of loneliness amidst a crowd..
watching the sun go down and rise yet again..
i realize the little losses and the greater gains
looking ahead..i still have so much to live..
more to learn..more to give...
i may not be able to reach the stars or the moon...
yet i know for sure...my journey wont stop here on this sultry afternoon...
